Where’s the Resistance?
The Battle Within and How to Overcome It

Introduction
I blamed the world around me for my struggles for the longest time. From family and friends to societal norms and even job promotions, external factors were the root cause of my resistance. But what if I told you that the real resistance comes from within? In this blog post, we'll explore the concept of self-imposed resistance and how to break free from it.
The External Culprits
We've all been there—blaming our parents, communities, and workplaces for the hurdles we face. I, too, was caught in this cycle. Whether it was being passed up for promotions due to gender or race biases or the influence of my community, I felt like a victim of my circumstances.
The Creative Struggle
As someone deeply involved in creative projects, I noticed that resistance amplified whenever I sat down to write or design. Distractions would pop up, either self-imposed through procrastination or external like friends and family vying for my attention.
The Awakening Through Meditation
It wasn't until I immersed myself in meditation that the fog lifted. I began to peel away the layers of my own being, akin to peeling an onion. With each layer removed, I became more aware of the internal voice holding me back.
The Science of Resistance
Studies have shown that resistance often stems from a fear-based mindset. The amygdala, a region in the brain associated with emotions, triggers a fight-or-flight response when we face challenges. Understanding this can help us tackle resistance at its root.
The Voice Within
That little voice in my head was the real culprit. It told me not to exercise or care about my diet and even discouraged me from pursuing my creative endeavors. It was a voice of self-sabotage, convincing me that I was destined for failure.
The Reality We Create
The truth is that we are the architects of our own resistance. We create the reality that anchors us in place or propels us toward our true potential. When we become aware of this, we reclaim control over our physical, spiritual, and emotional well-being, independent of the collective consciousness.
Breaking Free
Once you've peeled away the layers of self-imposed limitations, your true self emerges, unshackled and free. This is the essence of awakening—realizing that you hold the keys to your own liberation.
Conclusion and What's Next
In my upcoming blog post, I'll delve deeper into the insights gained through meditation. Whether you find this intriguing or not is entirely up to you. But remember, the choice to return and continue this journey of self-discovery is yours to make.
